Waldorf Improv Class

Join KWS Parent Jonathan Greenfield, professionally known as Jonathan Chase, for a special improv comedy workshop, sharing secrets and tips, and promising lots of laughter. Let's play some games, learn some basics, and strengthen the heck out of our pelvic floors. Oh yeah...and have fun. Improv is not just for actors. It's a great skill to strengthen presentations, public speaking engagements, dealing with in-laws, and navigating your way through life.

Jonathan has been a successful working actor for 25 years and has 10 years of experience in improv comedy in NYC and LA, I've appeared in over 150 episodes of TV sitcoms, and most importantly, other people's moms find him hilarious.

Improv comedy dates back to Ancient Rome where the Atellan Farce was improvised theater coupled with athletic competition. Commedia dell'arte brought improv theater to Italy in the 16th century. It circled back again in the first half of the 20th century when Viola Spolin created improv games to work with children in the inner city in Chicago. In the late 60s, Del Close brought modern improv to Chicago. Now in 2025, let's bring this back to Rudolph Steiner's Kimberton Playground.

Disclaimer: Improv Comedy has been known to reduce low blood pressure, cause day sweats, lead to too many friendships, and in a recent study by the Chester County Real Estate Brigade, lead to a decrease in housing costs and an increase in housing options.
