About the Event
Once each year, on a spring evening lit by candlelight and shared intention, our community comes together for more than a celebration. This is the one night we gather with open hearts and a common purpose: to sustain and strengthen the education that shapes our children and nourishes their becoming.
Like all true fairytales, what unfolds this evening is shaped by love, courage, and care. The Spring Benefit affirms the values that bind us–reverence for childhood, trust in meaningful education, and encouragement for one another. Together, we build not only vital financial support for Kimberton Waldorf School and its students, but a living community rooted in gratitude, hope, and the belief that what we nurture today will shape the world tomorrow.

About the Theme
Our theme, Fairytale Reverie, celebrates the varied ways that literature, stories and fairytales are woven into the fabric of education at Kimberton Waldorf School. From a puppet play in Kindergarten, to a therapeutic story in First Grade, to the masterful Parzival in high school, stories are an integral component to a Waldorf education. Through these stories, our children develop their imagination, vocabulary and communications skills. They learn to think critically and build their moral compass. Through stories our children are ready to lead in the 21st Century.
About the Location
Once the lifeblood of Phoenixville’s thriving steel industry, The Foundry has been beautifully restored and now stands as a testament to the town’s industrial legacy. Originally built in 1882 along French Creek, this historic structure was a hub of iron casting for nearly a century before the steel industry’s decline left it abandoned. Recognizing its significance, the Phoenixville Area Economic Development Corporation (PAEDCO) took ownership in 1998, embarking on a transformative renovation under the National Park Service’s guidance. Their vision preserved the building’s striking industrial character while revitalizing it as a cornerstone of Phoenixville’s economic and cultural resurgence.
Today, The Foundry is a stunning blend of history and innovation, where past and present coexist in perfect harmony. Its dramatic, open interior is illuminated by clerestory windows, while an enormous wooden cantilever crane—one of the last and largest of its kind in the U.S.—still stands in its original place. Outside, the "Symbols of Steel" Sculpture Garden features Phoenix Columns that once supported the iconic Stegmaier Brewery in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Now operated by a company that shares our school’s values, The Foundry is not just a relic of the past—it’s a vibrant space that continues to inspire and connect the community.
